Privacy Policy

Privacy-first screenshot translation.

Summary

OneTap Translate is designed to process screenshots privately by default. In the current 1.0 release, screenshots, recognized text, translation settings, usage counts, and optional history are handled on the user's iPhone.

Data Processed On Device

The app may process screenshots selected by the user or passed through an iOS Shortcut. Apple Vision OCR runs on the device. Translation settings, local usage counts, local history metadata, rendered translated images, and preferences are stored locally.

Local History

If Save History is enabled, OneTap Translate stores a local history item containing the rendered translated screenshot image, translation date, source and target language labels, translation mode, and a short translated text preview. Original screenshots are not saved separately by default.

Online Translation And AI

Online translation and AI rescue are not enabled in the current 1.0 release. If a future release sends recognized text or screenshot content to an external provider, the app will disclose that before upload and this policy will be updated before release.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled through Apple's StoreKit. OneTap Translate reads subscription entitlement status from StoreKit to unlock Pro features. The app does not send purchase records to a developer server.

User Controls

Users can manage Save History, auto-delete, individual history deletion, and Delete All History inside OneTap Translate settings.
